Drawing for me is about really studying something carefully: investigating its every angle, crevice and texture. I think any subject can make an interesting drawing if enough attention is given to something original about it. Most of my drawings are of my crystal collection or the garden that I tend to during the summer. I find the inner landscapes, otherworldly textures and reflections of crystals transporting me to a different world. The innate complexity, order and individuality within plants is also ceaselessly interesting for me to observe.
